Kiosks

The Initiative has placed its first information center - kiosk, on September 17, 2008 at the Glenwood Springs Community Center. The kiosk will provide bilingual information from various agencies and services as determined by the responses the Initiative received in 320 surveys in the area. Kiosks will be placed in various communities from Aspen to Parachute and will provide newcomers with valuable information about the communities in which they live and work. Our goal with this project is to work alongside our neighbors to insure that the Aspen to Parachute community is a welcoming place for everyone who comes here to live and work. We want to be a community that accepts people, helps to orient newcomers and provides an atmosphere of support for all people who are new to the community.

The Initiative is currently working on the placement of the next two kiosks in Carbondale and Rifle.

The Initiative appeals to all agencies, services and organizations in the region to send their bilingual brochures and other information that could be displayed in the kiosks. Interested agencies can mail their materials to PO Box 2776, Glenwood Springs, CO 81602
